At UCSF Children's Hospital I worked for Dr. Yao Sun, medical director of the William H. Tooley Intensive Care Nursery. Dr. Sun received his medical degree from UCLA and received a doctorate in computer science from MIT. He is an expert in the field of neonatology and medical informatics and was awarded a grant to develop his vision of a fully connected intensive care nursery which I worked on with him.

 

  • I developed, tested and implemented an innovative web based clinical application called a Total Parenteral Nutrition Calculator.I performed the project analysis, design, testing and implementation.This project made use of SaaS, connecting to backend patient data.The application is slated to be included in the UCare suite of applications.I also developed substantial technical documentation describing the functionality of the application, including UML sequence diagrams.

  • I project managed, developed, tested and implemented the neonatal web portal.This included working with faculty and staff throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, specification development, coding, testing and implementation.

Sylantro customers included AT&T, China Netcom, Nuvox, QWEST, StarHub, Swisscom, and others. As their developer evangelist I created tutorials for using their API and developed demonstration applications.
