UCSF Medical Center

UCSF Medical Center is one of the most distinguished healthcare institutions in the world, renowned for its integration of medical research and clinical care for the benefit of patients.

While at UCSF Children's Hospital I worked on a neonatal website and Total Parenteral Nutrition Calculator (TPN). The TPN application is currently in a clinical trial in the Neurodevelopmental Intensive Care Nursery. If the trial continues to go well, it will likely be integrated as part of the UCare clinical system, a system that is widely used throughout the medical center.

In June 2009, UCSF Children’s Hospital was ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals. UCSF Medical Center is recognized throughout the world as a leading academic medical center that utilizes technology to reduce medical errors and provide timely service. The TPN application I developed with Dr. Sun is an example of this sort of utilization of technology.

Dr. Sun Was interviewed for the following KQED special Born Too Soon.
