Interests
I am a big salsa dancing fan and play the conga drums. It must come from my mother's side of the family. In any case, those are a couple of my ongoing passions outside of work. Another is travel to far flung places. My wife and I recently got married and are still waiting to take our honeymoon vacation!
In terms of technology, my interests have evolved from an interest in code architecture to a better understanding of the role of DevOps in an organization. DevOps is a relatively new trend between operations and development that can affect an entire organization. Through agile and other cultural changes and dramatic improvements to approaches to infrastructure, DevOps is at the crossroads of many organizations path to improvement. It is fast becoming a necessity for businesses that rely on technology and the ability to effectively get code from development to production.

My fairly recent favorite movie was The Shape Of Water, a sci-fi romance set in the forties. I am reading Infrastructure As Code by Kief Morris. It is about how companies can begin to avail themselves of IT infrastructure as a dynamic and "disposable" software resource managed by DevOps.
