IT Management
My first director level position was with MedAmerica where I served as Director of Web Development. Throughout much of my career I have worked in a supervisory or "lead" capacity. Before joining MedAmerica, I was Senior Ecommerce Developer at McAfee.com, guiding team members and managing various aspects of our production cycle for the McAfee.com website. Early on in my career, while at Computer Sciences Corporation, I worked on matrix projects for the US Postal Service Information Systems Service Center and the US navy.
Finally, to supplement my real world experience, I have a masters of science degree in IT Management and two certifications in project management (CSM, PMP). As part of the curriculum at Golden Gate University, I also took classes in project and program management.
Ideally, I would like to find another management position and get back to the director level. I feel that between my theoretical and practical experience as a manager and my proven ability to lead and mentor others I will make an even better manager this time around, in either a matrix or agile environment. My skills have never been better.
