I have worked as an independent consultant on and off for several years, often between salaried jobs when the job market has been down. I started GF Consulting after the dot com downturn in 2002. Over the years, I have had several clients, including the following:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of the work I have done in a consulting capacity has been web development project work. I have worked with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop specifications, write code, manage and revise work as needed, and test.

My first job out of college was with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a large consulting/outsourcing company. With CSC I worked on a couple of large contracts for the US Postal Service and navy. That was my first exposure to consulting work. The skills and business accumen I gained from those experiences was wonderful...giving me insights and expertise I could not have gained any other way.
